Benvenuto nel nostro ristorante

The restaurant, inside the 17th century Masseria, overlooks the Conca d’oro, vineyards and centuries-old olive groves that will welcome you with a big hug and the attentions of Michele who will make you share the energy of the place.

Our goal is to lead you to discover the products of our Cellar and Masseria transformed with skill and competence by our Chef Giovanni Carrassi.

Don Tumà

Our restaurant takes its name from Tommaso Schiavoni Tafuri, Don Tumà in Manduria dialect, a rich landowner from Manduria who owned Cuturi at the end of the 19th century. In 1881 Don Tumà married the Countess Sabini of Altamura. The noblewoman brought as a dowry the “rooted cuttings” of Primitivo, which were planted in “Cuturi”, in the fertile Conca D’Oro.

Philosophy

Giovanni’s philosophy is to be able to combine the simplicity of a raw material of excellence at zero kilometer, in a contemporary and refined way. You too can go and pick the eggplants, tomatoes and peppers that Giovanni will cook for you in the garden of the Masseria, respecting the flavors, colors and aromas that Mother Nature gives us.

Our goal is to respect nature in its biodiversity and sustainability. You will fall asleep with the scents of chamomile and calendula gathered in the meadows under the olive trees

    THE CUTURINO

CUTURINO is our “wild bar” and is located 1.4 km from Masseria.

An ancient restored tool warehouse which, in the shade of a thousand-year-old Vallonea oak, bows to all those who head towards the central body of the Masseria.

Among wheat fields and vineyards, ancient trulli and Mediterranean scrub, it is the ideal place to enjoy fiery red summer sunsets in a totally country atmosphere, embellished by sitting rooms with hay bales, barrels and cushions, benches and tables to enjoy an aperitif on the fly on the way to the sea, but also tasty snacks prepared with products from our garden and accompanied by glasses of Cuturi organic wine!
